Flextronics’ Mexico operations support manufacturing for customers in the medical, automotive, industrial, appliances, networking, global services, computing and mobile and consumer markets. Our facilities hold certifications in corporate social and environmental responsibility, quality (ISO), occupational health and safety, electrostatic discharge control, and product safety. Additionally, we hold certifications that support specific markets, such as telecommunications, semiconductors, medical and automotive.
Mexican operations are located in Guadalajara, Juarez, Tijuana, Aguascalientes and Ramos Arizpe. Guadalajara and Juarez are also home to Flextronics Industrial Parks, designed to maximize the advantages of our global, large scale, high volume capabilities. Positioned in low cost regions of all major world markets, our industrial parks help to diminish the cost of production. Products are manufactured on-site and shipped directly from the Industrial Park to end users, greatly reducing freight costs of incoming components and outgoing products. Products not produced on-site can be obtained from our network of regional manufacturing facilities located near the Industrial Parks.
These facilities offer a wide spectrum of capabilities including manufacturing and assembly of printed circuit board assemblies, backplanes, box-build and assembly. We also specialize in mechanicals such as plastic injection, metal stamping (progressive and soft tool), machining, coatings, enclosures assembly and integration and tooling. Our facilities also have design capability, clean room capabilities, in-house laboratories, design for manufacturing, functional and reliability testing, supply chain management and logistics.
